SHORESH Refund Policy — Families
Last updated: October 6, 2026 · Effective: October 6, 2026
1. 14-day money-back guarantee
We stand behind SHORESH. You have 14 days to change your mind, for any reason:
- On your first subscription payment. If you decide within 14 days of your purchase that SHORESH is not for you, we will give you a full refund of that first payment and your subscription will end. The 14 days are counted from the date on your receipt.
- On each mid-year lesson-set purchase. When you add paid lesson sets (vocabulary or Avivi & Torah) to your plan from your parent dashboard, you have 14 days from that purchase's receipt date to request a refund of just that purchase. The refunded lesson sets are removed from your plan; your subscription and every other lesson set stay exactly as they were.
The two windows are independent — a mid-year lesson-set purchase has its own 14 days, counted from its own receipt, even if your subscription itself is already past the first-payment window.
2. How to request a refund
Subscriptions are sold and billed through Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as the Merchant of Record for your purchase. That means Paddle, not SHORESH, processes refunds and returns the money to your card.
You can request a refund in either of two ways. Both reach the same place and work equally well:
- Open paddle.net, find your transaction, and follow the refund request flow. You will need the receipt email Paddle sent you, which contains an order lookup link.
- Email us at info@shorsh.org with the parent email on your SHORESH account and the date of purchase. We will forward the request to Paddle for processing.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within about 14 days of approval. What ends afterwards depends on what was refunded: a refund of your first subscription payment cancels the subscription, and your child's access ends. A refund of a mid-year lesson-set purchase removes only those lesson sets from your plan — your subscription itself and every other lesson set stay active for the rest of the paid year.
3. After the 14 days — cancelling, renewals, and what is not refunded
Auto-renewal. SHORESH family subscriptions run for one year and renew automatically at the end of each year at the then-current price, until you cancel. We will email you before any price increase takes effect, and the new price only applies from your next renewal.
Cancelling to stop the next renewal. You can cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing info@shorsh.org. Cancellation stops the next automatic charge. It does not retroactively cancel the year you have already paid for — your child keeps access to the end of that year, and then access ends.
Partial-year refunds. Outside the 14-day money-back window, and outside the refund rights the law gives you where you live, subscription payments are not refunded on a pro-rata basis for a year that has begun or for a year your child did not use.
Mid-year lesson sets after 14 days. Mid-year lesson-set purchases are pro-rated to the days remaining in your subscription. Each one has its own 14-day money-back window (section 1). After those 14 days, and outside the refund rights the law gives you where you live, a mid-year lesson-set purchase is not refunded.
Renewal charges. If a renewal has been charged in error (for example you cancelled before the renewal date but were still charged), email info@shorsh.org within 30 days of that charge and we will arrange a full refund of that renewal through Paddle. This is separate from the 14-day money-back window — a renewal charged in error is a billing mistake, not a change of mind.
4. Your rights under the law of where you live
Nothing in this policy limits any statutory refund right you have under the consumer-protection law of the country or state where you live. Paddle's own buyer refund policy lists the statutory windows that apply to the first subscription payment in each jurisdiction it serves — for example 14 days in the European Union, the European Economic Area, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Turkey and Israel; 7 days in Canada, Brazil, South Korea and China; 5 days in Singapore — and those windows are the ones Paddle will honour on your behalf through paddle.net. Where a legal right gives you longer than our own 14-day window above, that legal right applies.
5. Prices and sales tax
Prices on this site are stated in US dollars and are before tax. Paddle, as the Merchant of Record, calculates and collects any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies to your billing address at checkout and shows it on the Paddle payment screen before you pay. A refund issued under this policy returns the full amount Paddle charged you, including that tax.
